Paris - Under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Kingdom of Morocco has become "a major player" on the world stage, emphasized Franco-Swiss academic and expert Jean Marie Heydt."Whether it is in its global relations with many countries around the world or its positioning on the African continent, Morocco is now recognized and sought after as an enlightened leader attentive to its partners and acting credibly," Heydt stated to MAP on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of HM King Mohammed VI's enthronement. He indicated that the Kingdom is actively involved in promoting peace and security on the African continent by regularly participating in peacekeeping missions under the United Nations, with the Royal Armed Forces deployed in several conflict zones in Africa. Thus, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, Morocco invests in favor of regional and international peace and security, leveraging its experience and being aware of the extent of security challenges in Africa, making every effort to contribute to laying new solid and lasting foundations for a stable, prosperous, and united Africa, he said.Morocco plays a crucial role as a regional stabilizer in Africa through several axes of its foreign diplomacy and cooperation, Heydt specified.Internationally, the recognition of Morocco's quality and assets by the world's major powers is the result of the Royal Vision implemented "with great care and realism," he added.Morocco, an effective global actor, is recognized for its ability to play a role as a regional stabilizer through peace initiatives, security, economic development, and diplomatic cooperation supported by a long-term strategic vision for both a stable and prosperous Africa and, more broadly, for lasting world peace, Heydt affirmed.Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
