Yusif Basigi, Head Coach of the Black Princesses has appointed 17-year-old Stella Nyamekye as Captain ahead of the FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup in Columbia.The midfielder, who holds a license D coaching certificate would be assisted by Northern Ladies shot stopper Afi Amenyeku and ASFAR attacker, Mafia Nyame.She scored in Ghana's 2-2 friendly encounter against South Korea on Tuesday.The youngster speaking after her appointment said 'It's an honour to be named Captain of the Black Princesses and I would wear the armband with real pride. It is an honour done me to lead the team at the World Cup'.She pledged to give in her best as her side goes in search of glory at the World Cup.Ghana would open their campaign against Austria on September 2 before taking on Japan and New Zealand in the other group E matches.Source: Ghana News Agency
