Abuja: President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State as he celebrates his 60th birthday. The message of congratulations was conveyed through a statement issued by Presidential spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Sanwo-Olu, who has been a mentee of Tinubu, currently serves as the sixth democratically elected governor of Nigeria’s commercial capital. Before assuming his current role, Sanwo-Olu held significant positions in public service, notably as the Managing Director of the Lagos State Property Development Corporation. He also served as Commissioner in three key ministries: Economic Planning and Budget; Commerce and Industry; and Establishments, Training and Pensions.

He praised Sanwo-Olu as a steady leader, guiding Lagos on a progressive path. Tinubu highlighted major achievements such as the completion of the Blue and Red Rail lines and the ongoing preparations for the Purple Line, which will serve the vital Lekki corridor.
