Abuja: The Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Capacity Development has announced a partnership with an EdTech platform, Stability and Sustenance, aimed at harnessing the potential of young Nigerians. Mr. Sadiq Rabiu, the Special Assistant to the President on Capacity Development, shared this development during a news conference on Tuesday.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the partnership is part of the National Capacity Development Training Initiative, a flagship program of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. The initiative aims to empower one million Nigerians across the six geo-political zones by the year 2025. Rabiu emphasized that this initiative is a national effort under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on economic self-reliance and job creation.
Rabiu highlighted the collaboration with Stability and Sustenance as a significant step forward. He noted that the platform’s innovation-driven approach and commitment to community transformation are crucial to the initiative’s success. The partnership aims to equip Nigerians with practical and future-ready skills, transforming talent into sustainable livelihoods.
The training will cover areas such as talent monetization, MSME growth, startup development, and innovation hubs. Other focus areas include agricultural value chains, entrepreneurship education, technology applications, digital skills, and strategic capacity building. Rabiu stressed that these areas address the needs of Nigerians and the evolving economy.
The initiative also seeks to highlight inspiring individuals like John Edom and Chisom Afiukwa, who exemplify the potential of creative industries in Nigeria. These individuals are seen as the face of Nigeria’s emerging economy, showcasing creativity and determination.
Rabiu underscored the government’s commitment to strengthening and accelerating these efforts through collaboration with Stability and Sustenance. He called for the participation of ministries, agencies, the private sector, and civil society groups to ensure nationwide reach.
Mr. Melody Okwuazu, Founder of Stability and Sustenance, expressed appreciation for the partnership, noting his platform’s dedication to human development. He emphasized the need to reach the target audience effectively and ensure the continuity of the initiative. Okwuazu reiterated the commitment to making President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda a reality, aiming to build a better Nigeria.
