Over 1.9 Million Nigerians Apply for Paramilitary Recruitment: CDCFIB Reports

Abuja: The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has disclosed that over 1.91 million Nigerians have applied for positions within various paramilitary agencies during the ongoing recruitment exercise. This information was made public through data available on the board’s recruitment website.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the board had initially announced that approximately 30,000 applicants would be recruited into the paramilitary agencies before the online application process began. The statistics reveal that Kogi State topped the list with 116,243 applicants, followed by Kaduna and Benue with 114,599 and 110,644 applicants, respectively.

Other states with significant numbers of applicants include Kano with 89,421, Niger with 79,567, and Kwara with 78,467. The list continues with Katsina (76,917), Nasarawa (76,677), Adamawa (68,381), and Oyo (67,255), among others. Notably, Lagos and Bayelsa had the fewest applicants, with 14,221 and 11,680, respectively.

The board has indicated that shortlisted candidates will be contacted soon with further instructions. “Please, monitor your email and text messages in the coming weeks, for notifications,” the board advised applicants.
