Rabat - Secretary General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Mathias Cormann, welcomed, on Wednesday in Rabat, the 'very strong' partnership between the international organisation and Morocco.In a statement to the press following his talks with Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, Cormann emphasized the OECD's support for the Kingdom's 'structural reform agenda', citing economic studies and the collaboration of the OECD-Morocco Programs.In this regard, he reiterated the OECD's support for the government's efforts to improve economic growth and living standards for Moroccans, while welcoming the opportunities offered to further strengthen the partnership between the OECD and Morocco 'with the memorandum of understanding that will organize collaboration for the years to come.'The OECD Secretary General's talks with the Head of Government focused on the ongoing fruitful cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and this international organisation.The meeting was an op portunity to announce the closing of the Country Program II between Morocco and the OECD, which aims to strengthen support, partnership and cooperation in the implementation of a series of structuring reforms in public governance, the economy and investment, social integration and territorial development, through the introduction of further best practices adopted by the organisation.Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
