NIHOTOUR and Circuits Join Forces to Enhance Digital Hospitality Education

Abuja: The National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR) has entered into a strategic partnership with Circuits, a virtual cinema and audiovisual distribution platform, to promote digital transformation in the nation’s hospitality and tourism sector. The announcement was made by the Director-General of NIHOTOUR, Dr. Abisoye Fagade, during a visit by Circuits’ top management staff to his office in Abuja.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Fagade emphasized that the partnership would expand access to capacity development programs through digital platforms. He highlighted the potential reach of this collaboration, allowing millions of Nigerians working in various sectors such as hotels, restaurants, and travel agencies to access professional training and industry content online. This initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on innovation, youth empowerment, and economic growth.

Fagade stated that the partnership would extend NIHOTOUR’s mandate by equipping Nigerians with knowledge and skills to compete globally. It will feature digital culinary showcases that highlight Nigeria’s food culture and gastronomy, promoting Nigerian cuisine worldwide and strengthening the country’s reputation in hospitality excellence.

Mrs. Imade Bibowei-Osuobeni, Chief Operating Officer of Circuits, noted that the collaboration aims to merge education, entertainment, and technology to promote indigenous culinary excellence and professional training. She explained that Circuits aims to connect African creativity with global audiences, and partnering with NIHOTOUR allows for a redefinition of how hospitality expertise and culinary skills are shared and celebrated.

NIHOTOUR, established under the NIHOTOUR Act, serves as the Federal Government’s agency responsible for regulating, licensing, training, and developing manpower in the hospitality, travel, and tourism industries.
