Lagos: Don Pee Arts and Gallery has announced the highly anticipated premiere of their blockbuster movie titled ‘Zarz End’, on its YouTube channel ‘Don Pee TV’. The movie is set to debut on June 12, a date observed to honour the late MKO Abiola and celebrated as Democracy Day.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the movie is an innovative adaptation of a true event that impacted Africa in October 2020, specifically in Nigeria. It highlights the actions of a few rogue elements within the police force, whose misconduct led to a significant public uprising. The film portrays how these individuals were eventually removed from the police force, marking a pivotal moment of change.
The storyline of ‘Zarz End’ takes viewers through a journey of past struggles, the relief of overcoming adversity, and the joy of entering a new era. It also illustrates how citizens and the government reached a new level of understanding after the events. The movie was first premiered at the Silverbird Cinema, Accra Mall in October 2023.
Directed by Iyke Odife, the film features a star-studded cast, including Nollywood legends such as Nkem Owoh, known as Osuofia, Kanayo O. Kanayo, and Chioma Chukwuka. ‘Zarz End’ promises to be an engaging experience for audiences and a highlight of this year’s summer holiday.
