Nasarawa Governor Seeks Expanded Dangote Investments at Trade Fair

Nasarawa: Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has urged Dangote Industries Limited to consider investing in more sectors of the State economy. The Governor, speaking at the ongoing Nasarawa Trade Fair Exhibition, highlighted the abundance of solid mineral resources in Nasarawa and the potential benefits of a strategic partnership with Dangote to accelerate Nigeria’s industrialisation programme.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the Governor was represented by Hon. Muhammed Otto, Nasarawa State’s Commissioner for Trade, Industry, and Investment. Otto commended Dangote Group for its performance at the Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited (NSCL) and expressed confidence in the company’s ability to explore further investment opportunities within the state.

Chairman of the Nigeria Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI), Nasarawa State Chapter, Nidan Manasseh, praised the Trade Fair, sponsored by the Dangote Group, for its impact. Manasseh encouraged the Dangote Group to expand its investments in Nasarawa by exploring other sectors.

Hajiya Khadija Nuhu, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment, emphasized that the state is open for business, highlighting the compelling opportunities available for the Dangote Group.

A statement from Dangote Group’s Chief Branding and Communication Officer, Anthony Chiejina, underscored Nasarawa State’s importance to their investment strategy in Nigeria, particularly with the ongoing Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited (NSCL) project. The statement from Senior Special Adviser to the Dangote Group’s President, Fatima Abdurrahman, noted the participation of various Dangote Strategic Business Units at the trade fair, including Dangote Fertiliser Limited, Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited, Dangote SinoTruck, Dangote Sugar Refinery, Dangote Salt (NASCON), and Dangote Cement Plc.
