The Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, is fostering peace, building bridges and strengthening the foundations of harmony between peoples, said Christian Cambon, French senator and chairman of the France-Morocco friendship group in the Senate.'The France-Morocco friendship group, which I have the honor of chairing in the Senate of the French Republic, is obviously very attentive to the role of Morocco and His Majesty the King in the international context of the many crises we are experiencing,' Cambon told MAP on the occasion of the celebration by the Moroccan people of the 25th anniversary of the Sovereign's enthronement.'We are witnessing numerous attempts to destabilize Africa, particularly in the Sahel. In this extremely difficult context, the role of His Majesty the King is obviously fundamental,' he said. The French senator noted that the Sovereign had created around Morocco a genuine cooperation with many African states after the Kingdom's return to the African Union, which was already a very important event, specifying that 'numerous Royal initiatives precisely help combat these attempts at destabilization."'We can also see it in this very courageous attitude towards the Middle East. It is certainly Morocco that is currently doing the most to help the population of Gaza. We are very attentive to these actions, which we support,' added Cambon. He underlined that 'HM the King, Commander of the Faithful, is imbuing Morocco with a number of values that are respectful of democracy and freedom.'Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
