Rabat - In a bid to strengthen bilateral cooperation, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, held talks, here Tuesday, with the Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandic and his accompanying delegation, on a working visit to the Kingdom on July 15-18.The talks between the two parties focused on highlighting the particularities of the parliamentary experiences in Morocco and Montenegro, the momentum of bilateral and multilateral parliamentary cooperation and ways of strengthening it through the exchange of visits and the sharing of expertise and experience, the Lower House said in a press release.Discussions also focused on the role of the two parliamentary friendship groups, and the sustainability of bilateral and multilateral parliamentary communication to strengthen dialogue, coordination and joint parliamentary action, the same source underlined, adding that the two sides also exchanged views on numerous issues of common parliamentary interest.On this occasion, the Lower House Speaker expressed his thanks to the Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro for his country's unwavering position regarding the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco. The two parties also commended the relations linking the two countries, which are built on mutual respect for the national sovereignty of States and supporting global peace and security.Morocco's House of Representatives and Montenegro's Parliament had concluded on June 25, 2018, in Podgorica, a protocol on parliamentary cooperation to anchor all forms of cooperation with a view to achieving understanding, working together, and advancing parliamentary cooperation at the highest level through several mechanisms including the creation of parliamentary working groups and the organization of regular gatherings.Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
