Morocco's Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljalil held talks, here Thursday, with Lebanon's Minister Of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamieh, on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in transport.During this meeting, held on the sidelines of the 28th session of the General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO), particular emphasis was placed on the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of air transport through air links between the Kingdom's airports and the Rafic Hariri airport in Beirut, as well as in the maritime transport sector, Hamieh told the press.He also stated that he invited Abdeljalil to visit Lebanon in order to deepen discussions on the strengthening of this cooperation.The Lebanese Minister congratulated Morocco on the successful organization of the Assembly, reiterating his thanks to the Kingdom for the assistance provided to his country, in accordance with the High Royal Directions, following the explosion i n the port of Beirut in 2020.For his part, Abdeljalil recalled the solid brotherly ties between Morocco and Lebanon, noting that these exchanges presented an opportunity to convene on the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of transport.he added that both parties underlined the importance of re-establishing air links between the two countries, and promoting maritime cooperation between Moroccan and Lebanese ports, he added.Abdeljalil also held talks with the Malaysian Deputy Minister of Transport, Datuk Haji Hasbi Bin Haji Habibollah, on ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the transport sector.Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
