Rabat - Morocco and Japan have expressed a common will to further boost bilateral cooperation in sea fishing and aquaculture.During the 38th Morocco-Japan Annual Fisheries Consultation, held on July 15-16 in Rabat, the two parties have expressed their commitment to contribute to the sustainable management of fisheries resources, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests said in a press release.The Moroccan side expressed, on this occasion, its gratitude to Japan for the launch, in February 2024, of the technical cooperation project "aquaculture for blue growth in Morocco".It also expressed its wish to step up the implementation of the new-generation fishermen's village project to be built in Souiria K'dima, previously approved by the Japanese government, the press release added.During the meeting, both sides reviewed the implementation of the main provisions of the Agreement and agreed on the outlook for their cooperation for the years 2024-2025, in particular the pr ojects currently being carried out in Morocco within the framework of cooperation with the Japanese Government.Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
