Paris - Moroccan sprinter Mouncef Bouja captured the gold medal in the 400 meters (T12) on Thursday, adding to Morocco's medal tally at the ongoing Paralympic Games in Paris.Bouja triumphed with a time of 48.62 seconds, outpacing his competitors and securing the top spot on the podium. The silver medal went to American Noah Malone, who finished with a time of 49.35 seconds, while Tunisian Rouay Jebabli took the bronze with a time of 49.56 seconds.Bouja's journey to the final was marked by a strong performance in the qualifying rounds. On Wednesday, he completed the first qualifying series in 48.98 seconds, outperforming Thai athlete Kissanapong Tisuwan (50.68) and Zambian Lassam Katongo (58.77) to secure his place in the final.This gold medal brings Morocco's total medal count at the Paralympics to eight: one gold, three silver, and four bronze.The silver medals were won by Youssra Karim in the discus throw (F41), Fatima Zahra El Idrissi in the 1500 meters (T13), and Abdelilah Gani in the shot put (F 53).
