Moroccan Ambassador Highlights Strong Economic Ties with Nigeria

Abuja: The Moroccan Ambassador to Nigeria, Moha Tagma, emphasized Morocco’s role as a burgeoning investment hub and a valued partner to Nigeria during a recent visit. Tagma made these remarks while visiting Mr. Tein Jack-Rich, President of Belemaoil Group, at his residence in Abuja to offer condolences for the passing of Jack-Rich’s uncle, Dr. Harrison Tiger.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Tagma expressed deep sympathy to Jack-Rich, acknowledging him as a friend, philanthropist, and business partner who merits support from allies. The ambassador, who has spent eight years in Nigeria, noted the strong economic bond between the two nations. He reiterated Morocco’s position as a new destination for investment and its pride in being a significant partner to Nigeria. Tagma highlighted that many Nigerians are eager to engage in business with Moroccan counterparts, looking forward to continued collaboration.

Tagma also mentioned the recent signing of an agreement to establish the Nigeria/Morocco Friendship Group, reflecting Nigeria’s strong interest in cultivating a robust relationship with Morocco. The visit to Jack-Rich was among several condolence visits from notable Nigerians, including former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Jack-Rich expressed gratitude for Tagma’s visit and described him as a good friend. He stressed the importance of African partnerships and intra-African trade for economic development. Jack-Rich urged Nigerian leaders to transcend party differences to work collectively towards the nation’s economic progress, underscoring the need for a united front in driving growth and development.
