Rabat - Morocco's Maghreb Arabe Presse Agency (MAP) and Italy's ITALPRESS News Agency signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on Thursday in Rabat, aimed at strengthening their collaboration in the media field.Signed by MAP Director General Fouad Arif and ITALPRESS Director General and Chairman of the Board, Gaspare Borsellino, this MoU aims to promote the exchange of information and multimedia content, as well as the organization of training and internships for journalists from both agencies.Under this agreement, both parties commit to providing technical media production resources, collaborating on multiple projects, and developing their capacities, particularly in new media and new technologies.According to the terms of this MoU, the two agencies agree to promote multifaceted cooperation.Speaking on this occasion, Arif emphasized that this agreement, which promotes the strategic partnership between MAP and ITALPRESS, paves the way for new promising prospects for both agencies, offering quality content with speed, efficiency, and integrity."This is an important step in our cooperation to promote journalistic excellence," he stated, noting that the two agencies share a common vision and are driven by a firm and constant commitment to the highest standards of professionalism.In this regard, he expressed his conviction that this fruitful collaboration will further strengthen not only the editorial and technological capacities of both agencies but also allow them to explore new avenues for innovative and quality journalistic coverage.Arif indicated that one of the strengths of this partnership will be the exchange of knowledge and capacity building through the organization of training programs, workshops, and seminars, believing that this exchange will foster a culture of continuous learning.For his part, Borsellino welcomed this partnership with MAP, "one of the most important news agencies in the Mediterranean," noting that this agreement marks a turning point in ITALPRESS's internatio nal outreach, particularly towards its Mediterranean environment.He stated that this partnership will be mutually beneficial for the development and influence of both agencies, thanks to the possibility of creating quality editorial content and launching significant projects and agreements on various topics.On this occasion, Borsellino also highlighted the longstanding relations between Italy and Morocco, noting that the two countries share several similarities and common points, particularly in terms of history, culture, and traditions.Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
