Laayoune - Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Malawi, Nancy Tembo, reaffirmed on Tuesday in Laayoune her country's support for Morocco's territorial integrity and the Kingdom's sovereignty over all its territory, including the Sahara region.Speaking at a press briefing held after her talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, on the occasion of the 1st session of the joint cooperation commission between the two countries, Tembo stressed that Lilongwe reiterates its full support for the Moroccan Autonomy Plan Initiative presented by the Kingdom of Morocco, as the only credible, serious and realistic solution, and welcomes the efforts of the United Nations as the exclusive framework for achieving a realistic, practical and lasting solution to the Sahara dispute.For his part, Bourita praised the wisdom of Malawian diplomacy, thanking Lilongwe for its constant and firm support for Morocco's territorial integri ty, as evidenced by the opening of a Malawian Consulate General in Laayoune in July 2021, and its participation, in January 2021, in the ministerial conference in support of the Autonomy Initiative under Moroccan sovereignty, at the invitation of the Kingdom and the United States of America.Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
