Rabat - Pursuant to the High Royal Instructions, Abdeltif Loudyi, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of National Defense Administration, received on Wednesday at the headquarters of this Administration, General Kassoum Coulibaly, Minister of State, Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs of Burkina Faso, on a working visit to the Kingdom, accompanied by a large delegation and the Ambassador of Burkina Faso accredited in Rabat.The visit, which is part of the consolidation and diversification of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, was marked by the signing of a military cooperation agreement between Morocco and Burkina Faso, in the presence of Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of FAR and Commander of the South Zone.The cooperation agreement covers training and exercises, technical support and exchange of expertise, military health, and other areas of common interest.Loudyi highlighted the Royal Initiative aimed at transforming Africa's Atlantic seaboar d into a hub of economic integration, an area of shared peace, stability and prosperity, including all the countries in the continent's Atlantic band, and also facilitating access to the Atlantic Ocean for the landlocked countries of the Sahel.Coulibaly underlined the high priority of the partnership with Morocco, and took the opportunity to express his admiration for the various South-South and regional cooperation initiatives for the benefit of Africa, launched under the Leadership of His Majesty The King, making Morocco a dynamic player in stability, progress and peace for its neighborhood, particularly in Africa.At the end of the meeting, the two officials expressed their shared ambition and desire to consolidate their relations in the future, through the implementation of the provisions of the military cooperation agreement signed today, reflecting the ties of friendship and mutual respect binding the two countries.Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
