Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed Appoints Dr. Ahmed Saeed Ould Abba as Chief of Staff

Jeddah: The Secretary-General-elect of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mauritanian Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, has appointed Dr. Ahmed Saeed Ould Abba as his Chief of Staff. This appointment is part of the ongoing arrangements following Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed's election as the Secretary-General of the organization. According to Union of OIC News Agencies, Dr. Ahmed Saeed Ould Abba is a distinguished Mauritanian academic who has previously held the position of Head of the English Department at the University of Nouakchott. He possesses a doctorate and has a master's degree in social sciences from Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris. Dr. Ould Abba commenced his professional journey at the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) during the mid-1990s. Within ISESCO, he undertook various roles, such as Director of the Office of the Director General and Director of Foreign Relations and Cooperation, eventually advancing to the position of advisor to the Director General, focu sing on partnerships and international cooperation. In his current capacity, Dr. Ould Abba oversees the Modern University of Chinguetti, having succeeded his father, Dr. Mohamed El-Mokhtar Ould Abba, who was the founder and former president of the university.
