Laayoune - The Bissau-Guinean Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Communities, Carlos Pinto Pereira, on Tuesday in Laayoune, praised the fruitful cooperation between his country and Morocco.In a joint communiqué released at the end of a bilateral meeting between Mr. Pereira and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, the two ministers welcomed the excellence of the deep bonds of friendship and solidarity uniting the Moroccan and Bissau-Guinean peoples.They recalled the momentum generated by the visit of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to Guinea-Bissau in May 2015, while expressing the full commitment of both countries to continue working towards providing renewed impetus to this spirit of cooperation and solidarity.In this context, Bourita expressed Morocco's willingness to support the Republic of Guinea-Bissau in the implementation of projects and programs within its national development plan, while emphasizing the important r ole played by the private sector in boosting trade and economic exchanges between the two countries.Furthermore, both parties agreed to hold a Business Forum soon to strengthen Moroccan investments in sectors targeted by Guinea-Bissau.Similarly, Bourita and Pereira emphasized the necessity of establishing a Morocco-Guinea-Bissau Business Council to enhance trade exchanges between the two countries and take advantage of the promising economic prospects linked to the presence of the Bissau-Guinean consulate in Dakhla, which is set to become a center of excellence in terms of regional economic integration.Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
