Laayoune - Bissau-Guinean Foreign Minister Carlos Pinto Pereira has lauded the initiative of His Majesty King Mohammed VI aimed at transforming the African Atlantic space into a geostrategic hub for pragmatic cooperation and consultation.This commendation was made in a joint communiqué released after discussions between Guinea-Bissau's Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Communities and Morocco's Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.During the meeting in Laayoune, Pereira emphasized the significance of the Royal Initiative for the Sahel. This initiative seeks to enhance regional integration by providing Sahel states with better access to the Atlantic Ocean through improved transport and communication networks, thus connecting them more effectively to their regional environment.The ministers addressed a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest, noting with satisfaction the alignment of their perspectives on these matters.
