Shanghai: Mr. Wang Genxiang, the Director of CIFAL Shanghai International Training Centre, emphasized that the advancement of high-tech industries holds the potential to revolutionize traditional industries by enhancing efficiency and product quality while reducing energy consumption. He conveyed these insights during a seminar on High-tech Industry and Innovative Development aimed at ‘Belt and Road’ countries.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Wang highlighted that the integration of new technologies, processes, and materials could significantly boost traditional industries. He noted that the rise of high-tech industries could lead to the emergence of new sectors, invigorating economic development. Wang described technology as the primary force and innovation as the primary driver propelling growth.
He pointed out that high-tech industries, with their high value-added and high growth characteristics, have become essential for driving economic progress. The continuous technological breakthroughs and innovative products in these industries could create new market demands and stimulate related industrial chains, thereby promoting overall economic growth.
Wang welcomed the 31 participants from 11 countries to the seminar, organized by CIFAL Shanghai International Training Centre, and expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce for their support. He mentioned that since 2009, the centre has been executing high-quality training programs under China Aid, benefiting over 3,506 individuals from 137 countries.
The seminar promises to offer participants a professional experience, sharing insights on cutting-edge technologies like big data, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, and Artificial Intelligence, and their applications in the high-tech industry.
Responding on behalf of the seminar participants, Mr. Atwooki Byaruhanga from Uganda expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn from China’s experience in high-tech industry development, acknowledging its importance as a driving force for global economic growth.
