Champions Susu Enterprise, a financial scheme in the Volta Region has extended its support to some pupils across the various Basic schools within the Akatsi South Municipality of the Volta Region.The gesture, including exercise books, drawing books, and sets of mathematical instruments among others, form part of the scheme's corporate social responsibility drive aimed at promoting quality education in the Municipality and beyond.Mr Gershon Kofi Dorvlo, the Chief Executive Officer of the scheme, in a short interaction with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) during a presentation ceremony to hand over the items to parents of the beneficiaries, stated that the move would motivate children to be in school.He explained further that the free gesture would go a long way to reduce the financial burden on parents or guardians due to the cost of educational needs.'We remained committed to championing a high standard of education in our area, thereby producing competent professionals soon.'Mr Dorvlo, who is noted for contributing to educational activities within the area, also indicated that it was paramount to instil the spirit of embracing education among the younger generations in society.The stationery items, worth thousands of cedis, were distributed to over 150 beneficiaries across the Municipality and beyond.Mrs Comfort Beckley, a beneficiary parent, and others the GNA engaged expressed their gratitude to the donors for the offer.They indicated that the gesture would mitigate the educational expenses of their wards.Champions Susu Enterprise has so far assisted several basic schools in the area with educational materials such as school bags, pens, pencils, science and Mathematical books, notebooks, and others.Source: Ghana News Agency
