Abuja: President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has commended President Bola Tinubu for restoring the hope of Nigerians for a viable and sustainable nation through transformative and courageous leadership. Akpabio stated this in a message through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, in Abuja.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Akpabio congratulated President Tinubu on his second year anniversary in office, highlighting that the president has placed Nigeria on a solid developmental path using the Renewed Hope Agenda as his policy thrust. He expressed his congratulations on behalf of the Nigerian Senate, the entire National Assembly, his family, and constituents, praising Tinubu as a visionary and transformative leader.
Akpabio noted that Tinubu’s bold initiatives and reforms, particularly in economic and fiscal policies, exhibit his dedication to transforming Nigeria. He emphasized the creation of development commissions in all geopolitical zones, describing it as unprecedented in the nation’s history. The ongoing infrastructural projects, such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Lagos-Maiduguri Highway, were cited as evidence of Tinubu’s development-focused leadership.
He also pointed out the economic reforms that are positioning Nigeria as a preferred business destination, with the Naira strengthening and ambitious fiscal policies in place. Akpabio commended Tinubu’s achievements in security, noting the Nigerian Armed Forces’ successful actions against insurgency and other criminal elements.
Akpabio mentioned the endorsements Tinubu has received for a second term in 2027, attributing these to his performance in good governance and fulfillment of campaign promises. He reassured that the Senate remains committed to collaborating with the Executive arm to ensure the success of Tinubu’s initiatives, acknowledging the challenges ahead and pledging collective efforts to address them.
