Luanda - The victory over Sudan (2-1) was pointed out Tuesday by the national football team coach, Pedro Gonçalves, as an indicator that places Angola on the right track for group F access to the Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).In a press conference, at the end of the game played on 11 de Novembro Stadium, in Luanda Province, a match counting for the second round of the qualification stage, Pedro Gonçalves said that this result gives confidence to the Palancas Negras (Sable Antelopes)."I am really satisfied with the work we have been doing to develop a culture that calls for dedication, commitment and collective effort", he said.With such result, Angola garner six points resulting from two victorious games, thus staying in the lead of the group (F) that is deemed balanced, in which every squad has the potential to get a point.He stressed that his team must avoid euphoria, given that nothing has been won as there are still four rounds to go, so the spirit of victory must continue so that th e Angolan squad can be present in the AFCON2025, in Morocco.Sudan's coach, James Appiah, said that since the draw, the Angolans started as favourites and that they would cause countless difficulties, as it was seen throughout the match.Angola and Niger will face each other on October 11th (5pm), on 11 November Stadium, for the third round.On the same day and at the same time, Sudan will play Ghana, in Kumasi.Source: Angola Press News Agency
