Islamic Centre for Trade Development and Mauritania Boost Economic Cooperation

Casablanca: The Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT) in Casablanca welcomed a delegation from the Mauritanian Investment Promotion Agency to discuss strengthening economic cooperation and promoting investment among members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The visit aimed to engage in dialogue and institutional consultation, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring cooperation opportunities in investment promotion and private sector development.According to Union of OIC News Agencies, discussions between the two entities centered on exchanging experiences and best practices to attract investments, improve business facilitation mechanisms, and explore avenues for technical cooperation. Both parties emphasized their commitment to increasing investment flows among OIC member states and supporting initiatives targeting regional economic integration.As part of the ongoing efforts, the possibility of organizing an exchange mission is under consideration. This mission wou ld involve the Mauritanian Investment Promotion Agency, the Islamic Centre for Trade Development, and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development. The goal is to share successful experiences in investment promotion and facilitation.During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the center's key initiatives in promoting trade and investment, as well as the ongoing efforts to enhance the economic attractiveness of OIC member states.
