Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia and Vietnam are set to sign a tourism partnership agreement aimed at enhancing Vietnamese tourists’ confidence in Malaysia while promoting Malaysian destinations within Vietnam’s travel market. The agreement seeks to bolster the tourism sector by fostering mutual cooperation and understanding between the two nations.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the memorandum outlines joint promotional campaigns and the exchange of information on travel opportunities in both countries. These initiatives will cover various aspects of tourism, including beach holidays, cultural routes, and medical tourism. The partnership is designed to create a seamless travel experience for tourists from both countries.
Ministerial talks are also underway to streamline visa processes, improve infrastructure, and attract investment in the hotel sector. These efforts are expected to facilitate easier travel and enhance the overall experience for tourists visiting Malaysia and Vietnam.
The agreement is part of Malaysia’s strategy to strengthen its partnership within the BRICS+ framework. It aims to reinforce ties within the Global South, foster regional cooperation, and encourage cultural exchange.
