KASEC PTA presents 300 mono desks, 100 pantry bowls to School

The Kadjebi-Asato Senior High School (KASEC) Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) has presented 300 mono desks and 100 pantry bowls to the school at Kadjebi in the Oti Region to support academic work.

Mr Anane Aboagye, the PTA Chairman, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after the presentation that they were stakeholders in the school and must support it to secure its basic needs, especially during this West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for better educational outcomes.

‘The motive is to assist solve the furniture deficit of the school,’ he said, adding: ‘This is not the first time, as 600 desks have been presented earlier.’

He said the PTA has also presented 50 computers to the school with more to be delivered later.

Mr Emmanuel Kwabla Cole, the Headmaster of KASEC, said the school had a total student population of 3,280 with a furniture deficit of about 1,000 desks.

‘The pantry bowls too are not enough to cater for the population, so students go to dining in turns and, therefore, del
ays the afternoon classes,’ he noted.

He said management therefore appealed to the PTA to go to the school’s rescue and expressed his gratitude to the Association for the 100-pantry bowls and 300 mono desks to help in academic work.

Mr Cole appealed to the Old Students Association to also support with the teaching and learning materials.
