Tinubu Reinforces Good Governance with Renewed Hope Agenda, Says Wike.

Abuja: Mr. Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has affirmed that President Bola Tinubu is reinforcing good governance through his Renewed Hope Agenda. This was conveyed during Wike’s visit to inspect the ongoing construction of the five-kilometre Saburi – Dei Dei road, a project awarded to Lubrik Construction Company in February.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Wike emphasized that President Tinubu is fulfilling his promises to address the needs of the populace, thereby renewing the hope of Nigerians. Wike highlighted that good governance encompasses the provision of essential infrastructure, transparency, accountability, security, and quality health and education services. He noted that the initiatives being undertaken in the FCT align with these principles of good governance.

The minister expressed his satisfaction with the positive reception from the residents regarding the Tinubu-led administration’s efforts to improve their living conditions. He assured that the completio
n of the Saburi – Dei Dei road project by December would further enhance the happiness of the local communities.

Additionally, Wike revealed that the procurement processes for the construction of the 17-kilometre Life Camp – Dei Dei road are nearing completion, with 80 percent progress achieved. The FCT Administration is currently awaiting the certificate of no objection from the Bureau for Public Procurement to proceed with seeking approval from the Federal Executive Council.

On a related note, Wike addressed the ongoing clampdown on scavengers and beggars in Abuja. He stated that a dedicated security team is actively working to arrest and prosecute those involved, while also clearing the roads of individuals falsely claiming to be beggars. Despite the challenges, Wike expressed confidence in achieving the desired outcomes.
