Abuja: Sen. Neda Imasuen (LP-Edo) has described the President Bola Tinubu-led administration as courageous and responsible. Imasuen, representing the Edo South Senatorial District, expressed his views in an interview in Abuja, highlighting the president’s efforts to revitalize Nigeria’s economy through significant policy initiatives.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Imasuen commended President Tinubu for his Renewed Hope Agenda, noting the administration’s boldness in addressing economic challenges with the introduction of the Tax Reform Bill. Imasuen emphasized that the bill holds the potential for generational impact, promoting sustainable development if enacted into law. He noted that during the last public hearing meeting, there was unanimous support for the bill, underscoring its perceived future benefits.
The lawmaker urged Nigerians to back the tax reform, assuring that the government is committed to addressing public concerns regarding tax misappropriation. He emphasized the administration’s responsibility and prudence in financial matters.
Imasuen also addressed concerns about Nigeria’s political landscape, dismissing fears of a drift towards a one-party state. He explained that party defections are a common aspect of the Nigerian political scene. Imasuen reiterated his commitment to supporting the president and contributing to good governance.
Highlighting his achievements as a lawmaker, Imasuen noted efforts to improve the lives of his constituents through initiatives in electrification, skill acquisition, and scholarships.
