Abuja: The Organising Committee of the Nigerian German Investment and Cultural Expo (NGICE25) has announced that the upcoming 2025 expo aims to strengthen the cultural exchange and economic cooperation between Nigeria and Germany. Dr. Mike Okiro, the retired Inspector General of Police and Chairman of the NGICE Organising Committee, shared this vision during a courtesy visit to the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, in Abuja.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the 2025 NGICE is slated to be held in Berlin, Germany. Dr. Okiro, while updating the minister on the committee’s preparations, emphasized the need for the Federal Government’s support and partnership to ensure a seamless and successful event. He highlighted that the expo would serve as a platform to present Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage on an international stage.

Dr. Okiro pointed out that the expo aims to attract Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) and showcase Nigeria’s cultural richness using Berlin as a global platform. “The expo, organized by Salute Nigeria Initiative in collaboration with various government agencies and private organizations, seeks to draw foreign investments and spotlight Nigeria’s investment prospects to German investors, enhancing the economic cooperation between the two nations,” he said. He further noted that the cultural exchange would highlight Nigeria’s cultural heritage through music, art, and other creative expressions.

The committee chairman also expressed that the expo is expected to promote economic growth and development in Nigeria through collaborations with German and European industry leaders. “We, the organizing committee, have been working tirelessly to ensure the success of the expo with the support of the Minister and other stakeholders. NGICE25 is poised to make a significant impact on Nigeria’s economic and cultural landscape in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation,” he stated. He emphasized that the expo is set to unlock Nigeria’s investment opportunities for economic growth.
