Abuja: The First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, has called upon individuals, particularly women, to provide more support and create an enabling environment for men to effectively fulfill their roles as fathers. Mrs. Tinubu made this appeal in Abuja during her Father’s Day message.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the International Father’s Day is recognized as a day to honor fathers, fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. In her message, Mrs. Tinubu expressed her admiration for Nigerian fathers who are committed to raising children who are confident, responsible, and compassionate. She also acknowledged men who embrace fatherhood through mentorship, guardianship, and community leadership roles.
Mrs. Tinubu emphasized the importance of supporting men in their roles as fathers, stating that when fathers are actively involved, it strengthens families and, by extension, the nation. She concluded her message by extending her blessings to all fathers, wishing them strength in their responsibilities and rewards of peace, joy, and fulfillment.
