Eid: Badagry Council Chairmen Urge Residents to Live in Harmony

Badagry: The Chairmen of Badagry Local Government and Council Development Areas (LCDAs) of Lagos State have urged residents to continue living together in harmony during and after the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the Chairmen delivered separate messages to Muslims in Badagry in celebration of the Eid-el-Fitr. Mr. Olusegun Onilude, the Chairman of Badagry Local Government Area, emphasized the blessings of celebrating the special day with fellow believers after a month of fasting, prayers, sacrifices, and sincere supplications. He highlighted the values of compassion, patience, and shared humanity that unite the community during Ramadan.

Mr. Onilude encouraged residents to carry forward the essence of Ramadan, focusing on discipline, kindness, and learned lessons. He stressed that true faith is reflected in actions and treatment of others, regardless of beliefs. On behalf of his family and the staff of Badagry Local Government, he extended heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim community on this blessed occasion, praying for the continued mercy and blessings of Ramadan.

In his message, Mr. Joseph Gbenu, the Chairman of Badagry-West LCDA, congratulated the Muslim Ummah on completing Ramadan, emphasizing the purification of faith and strengthened devotion to Allah. He encouraged residents to embody piety, compassion, and unity beyond Ramadan.

Mr. Samson Olatunde, the Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area, described Eid-el-Fitr as a time of gratitude, unity, and renewed faith. He reminded residents of the importance of love, compassion, and sharing, especially with the less privileged. Mr. Olatunde prayed for peace, prosperity, and continuous progress for the council and Lagos State, seeking divine favor and blessings for the future.
