CFAO Advocates Compliance Culture, Alignment to Global Systems

Lagos: CFAO Nigeria, a key player in the fields of mobility and healthcare, has urged organisations to create a compliance culture and strengthen their alignments to global compliance systems. The company gave the charge on Wednesday in Lagos at the CFAO Nigeria 2025 Compliance Week.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Board Chairman, CFAO, Gbenga Oyebode, emphasized that compliance is not merely a legal mandate but serves as the foundation for establishing a strong, ethical, and environmentally friendly business. Oyebode highlighted the risks faced by companies that fail to meet compliance standards, including potential damage to their reputation, financial losses, and legal issues that could threaten their existence. He noted that aligning with compliance systems enhances investor trust, business resiliency, and reliability among customers, authorities, and society.

Oyebode also mentioned the company’s board commitment to establishing an appropriate tone from the top, ensuring that integrity, openness, and responsibility govern all operational aspects. He referenced the PACI Rules and the Global Code of Conduct and Ethics (COCE) as frameworks for meeting both local regulatory demands and global standards, particularly in adherence to global anti-bribery and corruption legislation.

Denis Martin, CEO of CFAO, stated that compliance extends beyond rule-following to building a culture of integrity, trust, and accountability, which offers long-term advantages to businesses. Martin reinforced the company’s commitment to compliance, transparency, and fairness, urging all stakeholders to uphold these values to avoid far-reaching consequences.
