New Declaration by the Treasury Board of Canada on Flooding in the National Capital Region

OTTAWA, ONTARIO – Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat

The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat today issued a new statement in response to the floods in the National Capital Region:

The Government of Canada again notifies its employees that they will not go to their offices on Tuesday, May 9 in any of the following cases:

They normally use interprovincial bridges to get to work.

They work in federal buildings in Gatineau because they will be closed.

While flooding continues in several parts of Ontario and Quebec, the safety of our employees and our communities in affected communities is our top priority.
