CHINESE PRESIDENT APPOINTS AMBASSADORS TO FOUR AFRICAN COUNTRIES

Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed four new ambassadors, upon approval by the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (Parliament), according to a statement by the national legislature.

The statement said the president appointed Zhao Yanbo as ambassador to Botswana, succeeding Zheng Zhuqiang, Zheng Zhuqiang as ambassador to Uganda, replacing Zhao Yali, Yu Jinsong as ambassador to Seychelles, replacing Yin Lixian and Qiu Xuejun as ambassador to Namibia, succeeding Xin Shunkang.
