Abuja: Arco Group Plc has nominated Voke Ogueh to receive the National Diaspora Merit Award at the 2025 Nigerians in Diaspora celebrations, scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Abuja. This nomination was announced in a statement by the company’s Group Managing Director/CEO, Mr Alfred Okoigun, highlighting the group’s commitment to promoting excellence in science and technology.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ogueh was recently honoured with the 2025 U.S. Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) by the President of the United States. Mr Okoigun emphasized the importance of recognizing Ogueh’s achievements to inspire others and celebrate global Nigerian accomplishments in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Ogueh expressed that her passion for problem-solving led her to excel in Mathematics, earning an A1 in the SSCE and securing a full Shell Petroleum Company Scholarship to study Industrial Mathematics at the University of Benin. Currently, she serves as the Vice President of Digital Education at Scrumban AI, a Texas-based tech startup, where she leads the Talent Acceleration Programme Team.
In her role, Ogueh and her team focus on transforming participants’ experiences through digital tools, mentorship, and scalable solutions used in the tech industry. She emphasized her dedication to bridging skill gaps among young graduates and empowering the new age workforce in digital productivity tools with a growth mindset. Ogueh also aims to inspire young Africans to make a global impact.
